The current level of Lake of the Woods is 322.77 m (1059.0 ft), a 40th percentile level for this time of year. The average lake level declined by 2 cm (0.5 in) over the past week and is expected to remain stable or increase by up to 3 cm (1 in) over the next week. Lake of the Woods outflow is scheduled to decrease to 350 m3/s on Thursday, November 3.

The current level of Lac Seul is 356.10 m (1168.3 ft), a 25th percentile level for this time of year. The lake level declined by 3 cm (1 in) over the past week and is expected to remain stable or increase by up to 5 cm (2 in) over the next week. Lac Seul authorized outflow is scheduled to decrease to 200 m³/s on Friday, November 4.

On October 26, the LWCB held its fall Regulation Meeting in Kenora and adopted its Regulation Strategy for the winter. Representatives from First Nations, Specific Interest Groups and Resource Agencies attended the meeting and provided feedback on the proposed strategy. In light of damages caused by the flooding this past year, the adopted strategy targets lower spring levels on Lake of the Woods to assist with repairs.
