Take part in an online webinar meeting & town hall discussion, organized by the Lake of the Woods Water Sustainability Foundation (LOWWSF) in partnership with the Lake of the Woods District Stewardship Association (LOWDSA) to connect you directly to the Lake of the Woods policy team at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
Topic: Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Policy: Proposed Ecosystem Objectives and Potential Phosphorus Reduction Scenarios to reduce harmful algae in Lake of the Woods.
Registration in Advance: is required, using the links below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Please join us for an opportunity to engage directly with the team responsible for Lake of the Woods at ECCC. We urge you to participate in at least one of these virtual meetings to review the proposed ecosystem objectives and potential phosphorus reduction options. Have your say about what is needed to address harmful and nuisance algae blooms and improve the health of the lake.
ECCC has also launched a Lake of the Woods public engagement website to share what it has learned from its Lake of the Woods research and to seek public input on proposed Lake Ecosystem Objectives and options for reducing phosphorus from Canadian sources. Sign up at ECCC’s Lake of the Woods public engagement website to review more information, submit your comments and respond to discussion questions www.placespeak.com/lakeofthewoods. Comments will be received until April 30, 2021.
ECCC has completed a 4-year nutrient and algae research program in Lake of the Woods. It is now seeking public input to help shape the development of proposed Lake Ecosystem Objectives and potential measures to control phosphorus for Lake of the Woods to address harmful and nuisance algae blooms, and improve the health of the lake.
