Get into the festive spirit with this fun drink for the holiday season! In our house, we like to tailor our drinks to the season and as we get ready for winter and the holidays this will be one we make often. It’s a beautiful drink to impress your guests or enjoyed on a cozy night in front of the fireplace.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Amaretto
  • 1 oz. Whiskey or rye
  • ½ oz. Lemon juice
  • 1 ½ oz. Cranberry juice
  • 20 ml Egg whites
  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions

Shake all ingredients together vigorously in a cocktail shaker with an ice cube or two, then pour into a glass of your choice over ice. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary, a cherry, or a cranberry for a festive look.

To make this cocktail a mocktail, double the amount of cranberry juice, omit the whiskey, and substitute the amaretto and bitters for non alcoholic versions. If you can’t find non alcoholic amaretto you can use a dash (¼ teaspoon) of almond extract instead.
