Period for comments EXTENDED by 30 days and now closing January 20, 2019 as per letter just received from MNRF in response to LOWDPOA's letter requesting extension of period for comments.

Only those persons or agencies that commented or those who request notice will be notified directly of the completion of the project evaluation. The MNRF may proceed to implement the project without issuing further general notice.

The City of Kenora has submitted an aggregate permit application to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) for the expansion of their category 9 aggregate permit (gravel pit) located east of the Ritchie Road and north of the Wynd Road. See map below. 

Landowners, agencies and stakeholders in the area have been notified of the proposal by mail and invited to provide any comments or concerns that they may have with the proposal.

A copy of the complete application package is available for viewing at the MNRF Kenora District Office during normal business hours (by appointment)
